Edward Curtis Cranshaw's Obituary
Edward C. Cranshaw, 75, of Fredericksburg went to Heaven Sunday, June 19, 2016.
Ed was born March 11, 1941 in Hopedale, MA to Edward Cranshaw and Margaret Fogarty Cranshaw. He attended Hopedale High School, where he was on the basketball, football and baseball teams. Ed was later educated at Western Carolina University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.
Mr. Cranshaw spent his career as a project manager and computer programmer; and enjoyed his time with ITT Data Services, Control Data Corporation, Harris Corporation and Computer Sciences Corporation.
Ed is survived by his wife, Joyce Cranshaw; and his daughter, Sheila Cranshaw.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road Fredericksburg, with a rosary prayer service to be said at 5:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 10725 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, with Father James Hudgins officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, payable to AOH National Board, P.O. Box 539, West Caldwell, NJ 07007, or St. Jude’s Building Fund, 10725 Courthouse Rd. Fredericksburg, VA 22407, or to the SPCA of Fredericksburg, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
