Edna Margaret Shaw Banther's Obituary
Edna Margaret Shaw Banther, 77, of Richardsville died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Amerisist. She was born May 12, 1931 in Emporium, PA to the late Willard A. and Ida Walker Shaw.
Mrs. Banther was a past member of the Women of the Moose in Arlington. She was an avid donor to various organizations, mainly to the Humane Society, St. Jude’s, Animal Welfare Leagues, Indian Reservation Schools, and Cystic Fibrosis. She loved gardening, golfing, bowling, bingo, her cats, and going on cruises.
She is survived by two children, Debra Orf and her husband, Edward of Sumerduck, and George Michael Banther of Richardsville, two grandchildren, Eric Banther and Nathan Orf, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Lester, and Willard Jr.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
