Edna Mae Black's Obituary
Edna M. Black, 85, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Edna was a professional banker in the community for more than 30 years. She was also a devout member of Massaponax Baptist Church.
Edna leaves behind two children, her daughter, Sandra Black Bean and her husband, William Maloney, of Virginia Beach, and her son, Rodney Black of Spotsylvania; and four grandchildren, Bo, Danny and Jill Black and Samantha Bean. Edna also leaves behind a sister, Nell Sullivan; a nephew; and numerous cousins.
Edna was preceded in death by her husbands, Daniel Black and Wallace Ray.
Edna's family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Services, 10719 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John C. Edmonds officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg.
