Edith Marie Yeager's Obituary
Edith Marie Banks Yeager departed this life Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. She was born to Hayward H. Walker, Jr. and Georgia Mae Randolph on October 2, 1959 in Culpeper, Virginia. She attended and graduated from Culpeper County High School in Culpeper, Virginia.
Edith loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Atlanthus, VA by the late Reverend Wingfield. She loved spending time with her family, vintage cars and as an outdoor adventurous individual, had a passion for fishing. She also loved singing, gospel and old school music. Edith was a true people person who had a beautiful smile with a spirit to match and never met a stranger. Her family had many special names for her to include (Bey, Kat and Edi Eye). She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Edith leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Georgia Banks; father, Hayward Walker; three sisters, Kanese Randolph, Crystal Stephens and Alice Brooks (William); three brothers, Sherwood Walker, Hurley Banks (Patricia) and Vincent Walker. Also mourning her passing are fourteen nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn several special friends to include Libby, Becky & Stan and Dara.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hurley Banks, Sr.; and her grandparents, George, Sr. & Lucy Randolph, and a host of other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia with Pastor Sherwood Walker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family invites those unable to attend to join the service via live stream at

The family respectfully asks that masks be worn while in the building and distance hugs are welcome.
Interment will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Syria, Virginia.
