Ebenezar Robinson, Sr.'s Obituary
Ebenezar Robinson, Sr. was born in Culpeper, Va., to the late Winfrey and Elizabeth Robinson on March 30, 1941. He attended school in Culpeper County. At the tender age of 23, Ebenezar married the love of his life Arlene Gray on May 2, 1964. This dynamic duo had a loving relationship, and their union was blessed with 7 children.
Ebenezar affectionately known as “Soul Train” {name engraved on his red sports car} and/or “Nezar” and "Deacon" by his family and friends enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, singing, fishing, hunting, collecting firearms, drawing, and landscaping. He was a very loving and caring person with a great sense of humor always calling somebody a “Big Dummy.”
Ebenezar accepted Christ in the early 1980’s and dedicated his life to serving God by “soul winning” to all those he encountered. He was ordained as a Deacon on February 24, 2018. He loved the Lord with all his heart and faithfully served until his health would no longer allow him to attend church. He continued to share the Gospel until the very end.
Ebenezar was preceded in death by one son Ebenezar Robinson Jr., three grandkids: Dalletta Robinson, Domonic Robinson, and Dalvon Robinson, one great granddaughter: Azlynn Rose Urena, two brothers: Charles Henry Robinson and James Robinson, three sisters: Ellenor Webb, Jean Walker, and Evelyn Chase.
Ebenezar went to glory on Saturday, October 14, 2023, after an intense battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Arlene Robinson, six children: Mary Robinson, Tammy Butler (Henry), Dallas Robinson (Carolyn), Crystal Williams (Timothy), Tonia Woodard (Gregory), and Angie Noel (Trent); thirteen grandkids, twelve great grandkids; five sisters, Sara Lee Nibblins, Hortence Waters, Daisy Harden, Sallyann White, and Francis Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Willie D. Crenshaw, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
