Earnley "Ernie" Payne Sr.'s Obituary
Earnley F. Payne, Sr. “Ernie”, 80, of Fairview Beach, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Ernie was a proud Navy veteran and a retired automotive technician. In his free time, he loved to spend time on the water, especially where he grew up at Fairview Beach. He was also an expreienced engine builder and grew up loving to build and race cars.
He was most proud of his family. Ernie is survived by his son, Earnley “Ernie” Payne, Jr. (Joyce); his grandchildren, Earnley “Ernie” Payne, III (Brooke), Shelby Payne, and Dakota Payne; his great-grandchildren, Brayden and Kaylee Payne; a niece, Beverly Payne; and his life long best friend Larry Odham.
Ernie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Marie Payne, and a brother, Ronald.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. His family will receive friends one hour prior.
