Earle Harrell's Obituary
Earle Harrell, 89, of Culpeper died Monday, July 16, 2018 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 8, 1928 in Alberta, VA to the late Leighton E. and Gertrude Criddle Harrell.
Mr. Harrell was a retired veteran of the Maryland National Guard and a member of the United Methodist Church in Winchester. He was 3rd Degree Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge and an insurance auditor for Prudential Insurance. Mr. Harrell enjoyed creating ceramics with his wife, Ruth, and selling them at various fairs and festivals.
He is survived by one son, Earle Lewis Harrell of Richmond, VA; one brother, Stanley Harrell of Hampstead, MD; five grandchildren, Erica Whitfield of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard Whitfield of Woodhull, NY, Victoria Harrell, Kenneth Harrell and Benjamin Harrell, all of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Huddle Harrell; his first wife, Edith Peirce Harrell; one daughter, Edith “Cookie” Harrell Whitfield; and two brothers, Leighton E. Harrell, Jr. and William Guy Harrell.
Services will be private.
