Earl Caudill, Sr.'s Obituary
Earl Caudill, Sr., 90, of Reva died July 13, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born October 15, 1921 in Kentucky to the late William Caudill and the late Atha Caudill.
Mr. Caudill was a member of VFW Post 2524. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in World War II. He received a Purple Heart for wounds received during the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Caudill was a lifetime member of Hazel River Assembly of God and attended Family Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Gray Caudill, and six children, Dennis Warren Caudill and his wife, Darlene, of Culpeper, Bobby Dean Caudill and his wife, Barbara Lee, of Reva, Chester D. Caudill, Sr. and his wife, Barbara Ann, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Donald R. Caudill of Harriman, Tennessee, Glenda M. Settle and her husband, Doug Settle, Jr. of Castleton and Hope Crocker and her husband, Jim, of Reva.
Additional survivors include thirty-four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Patty Caudill, and three children, Earl Caudill, Jr., Ina Katherine Meadows and Atha Emogene Haught.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Chester Caudill and Rev. Chet Caudill officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
