Dottie Fuggian's Obituary
Dorothy Dykes Dottie Fuggian, 81, of Fredericksburg, formally Dorothy Kite of Fall Branch, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at MicAnd Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hartzel Kite and Bladys Phillips Kite; a brother, Dallas Kite; a granddaughter, Diane Dykes and her husband, Ernest Fuggian.
Dorothy moved to Northern Virginia as a young woman where she became a Union representative for local 400 and worked for Giant Food. She moved to Fredericksburg in the 80’s and became a successful realtor in the area. She was a long-standing member of the Spotswood Baptist Church. Dottie was a hard working woman with a big heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, James Dykes, III of South Carolina and John Dykes of Florida; two brothers, Dana Kite and Don Kite, both of Tennessee; a nephew, Larry Kite of South Carolina; two nieces, JoAnn and Carol June of Tennessee; four grandchildren, James Dykes, IV of North Carolina, Darlene Radican and Brian Dykes, both of Virginia and Richard Dykes of Georgia and many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Dorothy’s family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at Quantico National Cemetery.
