Dorothy Elizabeth Warner's Obituary
Dorothy Elizabeth Warner, 78, of Castleton went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was born May 7, 1936 in South Carolina to the late Martha Davenport Wilson.
Mrs. Warner was a member of the 15th Street Presbyterian Church in Washington DC until moving her membership to Culpeper Presbyterian Church upon moving to the area. She was on the School Preservation Board of Scrabble, loved to shop and greatly enjoyed cooking for and entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Michele Sloan Smith and her husband James of Brodnax, VA; two grandchildren, Shelton Sloan and his wife, Shana and Shaun Sloan and his wife, Kelly; seven great grandchildren, Jelan, Tiarah, Leah, Kaiden, Brayden, Shaun Jr. and Skylar Sloan; two nieces, Mary Wise and Estelle Lewis; one nephew, James Hackley; two God daughters, Conchita Yancey and Sharon Howard; and a host of other great nieces, great nephews and extended family, friends and loved ones.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Franklin Warner.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Culpeper Presbyterian Church, 215 S. Main St., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Wayne Bernardo officiating.
Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodville.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
