Dorothy Swafford's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Swafford, 79, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday October 19, 2009 at her home.
Dorothy was a social butterfly who never missed an opportunity to go out to dinner with friends or play cards. She also enjoyed making crafts, working puzzles, and camping. She was a longtime member of Spotswood Baptist Church.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Linda Swafford, her son Mel Swafford and his wife May and grandchildren Sabrina and Tyler Swafford, all of Fredericksburg. Her sisters Velma Compton of Missouri and Betty Ruth Maine of Tennessee. Her brothers Ronnie, Raymond and Danny Francis along with her stepmother Georgia Francis, all of Tennessee.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Bertha Whaley and Gudger Francis and by her husband, Frank Swafford.
A memorial service celebrating Dorothy's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 14th, 2009 at Spotswood Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Bearden officiating.
