Dorothy Lorraine Smith's Obituary
Dorothy Smith, age 85, of Manassas, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011.
Born in the Shenandoah Valley on September 16, 1926 to the late Fred and Mary Wilson, she resided there until moving to Northern Virginia in her teenage years.
Survivors include her four children, Jake Smith and wife Diane, Jackie Smith and wife Stephanie, Diane Barlow and husband Charlie, Johnson Smith and wife Barbara; her dear friend, Maggie Sharkey; eight siblings, Mary Critzer, Connie Wolfe, Polly Mitchell, Bobbie Sliesman, Jimmy Wilson, Robert Wilson, Meyer Wilson and Donald Wilson; ten grandchildren, Jake Smith, Geoff Smith, Kelley Soyka, Sara Smith, Lindsay Smith, Chris Barlow, Jessie Smith, Kasey Smith, Rob Barlow and wife Carrie, Jennifer Barlow; five great-grandchildren, Nicolas Smith, Sean Smith, Lexi Smith, Riley Barlow and Julian Barlow.
A celebration of her life will be held at 5 PM, with gathering one hour prior, on Thursday, Dec. 22nd at the Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Rd. Manassas, VA 20109.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her honor to Capital Caring Hospice.
