Dorothy Frances McKenzie's Obituary
Dorothy Frances McKenzie, 79, of Culpeper passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at her home in Culpeper. She was born on October 31, 1945, to the late Cecil and Veronica Hawkins in Washington, D.C.
Dorothy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and loved to spend as much time as she could with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, George Francis McKenzie, Jr., her children, Dorothy Patricia McKenzie, Ann Marie Davis (Tony), Susan Elizabeth McKenzie, and George Francis Cecil McKenzie (Alicia); 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of additional family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her sister.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A few words of remembrance will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD, 20722.
