Dorothy Lee McCarroll's Obituary
Dorothy Lee McCarroll, 94, of Culpeper died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 23, 1925 in Winchester, VA to the late Robert Santmier and Bessie Brill Carter.
She is survived by three children, Sylvia Marie Jacobs, Lucinda May Burkhardt (James), and Selina Dale Deming (Charles); and eight grandchildren, Bruce Hale, Felicia Deese, Carissa Murray, Ian McCarroll, Jonathan McCarroll, Zachary Burkhardt, Jamie Knecht, Sherina Man.
Additional survivors include thirteen great grandchildren, James, Nathan, and Serra Hale, Deven, Jarred, and Kayla Deese, Kaitlyn, Bryson, and Yulli McCarroll, Aiden and Connor Murray, and Braxton and Maddox Man.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Alexander McCarroll; two sons, David Alexander McCarroll and Jonnie Lee McCarroll; and one sister, Marie Forsyth.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Alum Springs Baptist Church, 11058 Dutch Hollow Rd., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, VA.
IN lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
