Dorothy Lee Greer Clatterbuck's Obituary
Dorothy Lee Greer Clatterbuck, 76, of Mitchells, VA passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her daughter’s home. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family, her beloved grand dogs; Ali and Tae, and grand cats that would not leave her side.
Dorothy “Dottie” was born on July 4, 1948, to the late Raymond Greer and Myrtle Parsons Greer in Charlottesville, VA.
Dottie graduated from Culpeper County High School and shortly after married her husband.
Dottie never met a stranger. She was very active in various clubs and her community. She especially loved spending time at her church. When Dottie was not helping with dinners and activates she could be found on her favorite pew all smiles and greeting people.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Thomas Clatterbuck of Culpeper; her daughter, Amber Gallahan (Warren) of Culpeper, her niece, Alison Robinson (Thomas) of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, and Laurel Kuhn; her nephews, Jeffrey Greer (Lisa) of Florida, Ronald Smith of Florida, and Daniel Kuhn of Georgia.
Additional survivors include her great nephews, Kenneth Linstrom (Dorothy) of NC, Thomas Linstrom of NJ, and Phillip Delcore of Richmond; and great nieces, Monique Carrell and Angelique Perry.
In addition to her parents, Dottie is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Greer; her sisters, Irene Kuhn, Lois Smith, and Ann Singletary; her nephews, Jonathan Greer, Jason Greer, and Troy Singletary; and her niece, Deborah Carrell.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Patrick Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA where she will be laid to rest next to her parents and sister, Irene.
