Doris Elizabeth Holmes-Martin's Obituary
Doris Elizabeth Holmes-Martin, 83, of Fort Meade, Maryland, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Doris was a loving, caring and compassionate mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Mary Hartley and her husband, Harmon of Spotsylvania County and Diane Kubler of Illinois; five granddaughters, Karen Henson, Christina Dodson and her husband, Steven and Carmon Williams, all of Spotsylvania, Chasity Lewis and her husband, Gerald of Caroline County and Shana Clarke of Woodbridge; two grandsons, Austin Kubler and Trevor Kubler, both of Illinois; 12 great grandsons, Nathan, Christopher, Ricky, Ryan, Austin, Dylan Lewis, Thomas, Josh, Harmon, Dylan Dodson, Elijah and Tyler; a sister, Bernadette Puddicombe and her husband, Kevin; and a brother, Robert Holmes, all of New Foundland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Jonathan Martin and a great grandson, Shaun Michael.
Doris’ family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
