Doris S. Akers' Obituary
Doris S. Akers, 78, of Culpeper died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1939 in Bumpass, VA to the late Walter and Fannie Huddleston Southworth.
Mrs. Akers is survived by her son, James O. Clough; two stepchildren, Patricia Akers and John A. Akers, Jr.; two granddaughters, Ellen Ann Clough and Grace Elizabeth Clough; and one step grandchild, William Peyton Akers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Akers, Sr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa.
