Donald Gustave Plutchak's Obituary
Donald Gustave Plutchak, 91, of Brandy Station, VA formerly of Iron River, MI died on Friday, April 30, 2010 at his daughter’s residence. He was born on June 26, 1918 in Iron River, MI to the late Gustave and Minnie Sanderland Plutschak.
Mr. Plutchak was a WWII veteran serving his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Masons and American Legion all in Iron River. He had a great talent and love for wood and concrete and was always building or tinkering with something. Above all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his two daughters, Penny Arft and her husband, Frank of Brandy Station, VA and Cindy Nordstrom and her husband, Don of Spencer, Iowa.
Additional survivors include his grandchildren, Laurie Clark, Chris Olson, Randy Arft, Jeremy Barthel, Shannon Dyson-Holland, Jared, Seth and Jake Barthel, Nicole Plutchak, Jim Micheau and Josh Plutchak, his great grandchildren, Andrea, Kelly, Ryan, Bryce, Kayley, Mikayla, Alexia, Abby, Will, Alex, Kyle, Marcus, Lindsay, Connor, Henry, Evelyn, Elliott, Chelsea, Alicia, and Jack, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Plutchak, his son, Randy Plutchak, his grandson, Steven Olson and one sister.
