Donald LeRoy Chandler's Obituary
Donald LeRoy Chandler, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Spotsylvania, VA.
He was a Marine Corp Veteran who loved his guns and cars. Donald spent most of his life as a Fireman retiring as Engineer of Fire Boat 1.
Survivors include two sons, James Franklin Minter, Sr. and Robert Lee Minter, Sr. (Linda); 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Viola Rutter; his wife, Gladys Lucille Chandler; and a daughter-in-law, Rose Marie Minter.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
