Donald Leroy Baker's Obituary
Donald Leroy Baker, 68, of Culpeper died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence on Friday, April 4, 2014.
Donald was born on July 8, 1945 in Mitchells, VA to the late Paul Baker and Flora Belle Blankenship Baker.
Donald was a diesel mechanic by trade having retired in 2010 after 33 years with the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Fredericksburg. He was a member of the Ellis Mine Hunt Club and the Rapidan Campgrounds in Syria, VA, as well as a Volunteered for the Richardsville and Rapidan Volunteer Fire Department events. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, metal detecting, collecting war relics and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Joyce W. Baker; his daughter, Donna Jo Baker Baldwin of Rixeyville, VA; one sister, Mary Belle Morgan and her husband, Mack of Andrews, NC; two grandchildren, Jessica Baldwin Jarrells of Rixeyville and Megan Baldwin Edwards and her husband, Jonathan of Culpeper; and one great grandchild, Aaron Jarrells of Rixeyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Baker and Gladys Alkire.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Allensworth officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
