Dolores Jane Thornhill's Obituary
Dolores Jane Thornhill, 82, of Culpeper, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Dolores was born April 1, 1928 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Edwin Donald Coleman and Elizabeth Irene Coleman.
Dolores was a devoted homemaker and mother, whom loved the Lord and her family without bounds, she was a devout member of the Culpeper Baptist Church.
Dolores is survived by her loving children; Robert H. Thornhill, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Culpeper, William W. Thornhill and his wife Pat of Conway, South Carolina, Vicki T. Lloyd and her husband Will of Carrollton, Georgia, Darlene T. Hockett and her husband Barry of Centreville, Doreen T. Feaganes and her husband Timothy of Manassas, Jason L. Thornhill and his wife Chelsea of Wilmington, North Carolina and Tara T. Barton and her husband David of Richmond. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; Nicki and husband, Chester, Chad and his wife, Caroline, Wesly, Aiden, Derry, Catherine, Patrick, Seth, Jake, Taylor and Joshua and one great grandchild, Josiah.
Dolores is also survived by her sister, Crystal “Cricket” Pierce and her husband William of Culpeper.
In addition to her parents Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Thornhill and her daughter, Brenda T. Nichols and two of her siblings, Ruby Heiney and Donald Coleman.
A funeral service will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St. Culpeper, with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 6-8p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
