Dolly Colvin Jones' Obituary
Dolly Colvin Jones, 93, a long-time resident of Culpeper passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Dogwood Village of Orange County Senior Living. She was born May 17, 1925 in Albemarle County to the late Willie Marion and Hettie Powell Colvin.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church and the Faithful Workers Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 2524 and the American Legion Auxiliary. She retired from Second National Bank.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Eugene (Gene) Jones; six siblings, Fannie Estelle Frazier, Alice Marion Tignor, Carrie Lucille Kerr, Earlene Mae Snow, Ashby P. Colvin and William G. Colvin.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Dan Carlton and Donald Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (Old Section).
