Dixon Barclay Hoyle's Obituary
Dixon Barclay Hoyle, age 84 of Gainesville, VA died on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Hoyle was born in Chicago, IL and was a graduate of New York and Cornell Universities. Although much of his adult life was spent in the Washington, DC area, he also had resided in Brussels, Belgium, and Summerville, SC. During his career Mr. Hoyle served in technical and administrative positions in both the federal government and private industry and in the U. S. Army Air Force during WW II.
Mr. Hoyle is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Patti) and by his ten adult children, Dixon, Robert, Jon, Dawn, Stephen, David, Patty Blickenstaff, Jamie, Holly Chretien and Heather Stevens; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Found and Sons Funeral Home, Lee Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109 on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
