Dimitris "Luckie" Zayas' Obituary
Dimitris “Luckie” Zayas, age 17, of Centreville, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.
He was born at Ft. Bragg, NC on April 24, 1993. Dimitris was a senior at Centreville High School, where he loved to play Lacrosse on the Varsity team. He had previously attended Brentsville District High School. He was an aspiring actor and was recently selected to participate in a community theater production of Little Women. Dimitris often wrote music, enjoyed dancing and loved to make people laugh. He was a loving son and devoted friend who will truly be missed by all.
He is survived by his mother, Erika Haralampidou-Zayas; his father, Orlando Zayas-Boujouen and stepmother Marina Protopapas; paternal grandparents, Anna Boujouen and Orlando Zayas, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Lina Haralampidou; great-grandmother, Dominga Suarez-Zayas; three aunts, Nadia Zayas, Dharma Zayas and Lily Haralampidou; two uncles, Jorge Alicea and Eliezer Guadalupe; as well as numerous other friends and family members.
A funeral mass will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, October 9th, with viewing two hours prior, at the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA 22041.
Burial will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
