Delton Jasper Anglin Jr.'s Obituary
Delton Jasper (D.J.) Anglin, Jr, 72, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, passed away on December 15, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
D.J. was born on August 10, 1953 to Delton Jasper Anglin and Mary Patricia Anglin in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. The family moved to Virginia and D.J. attended schools in Stafford and Manassas.
In 1971 D.J. married Nancy Myers Anglin. D.J. and Nancy went on to have two sons, Delton Jasper Anglin, III and Jason Robert Anglin.
D.J. was a proud United States Army veteran and was a member of American Legion, Post 320. After his Army service and a few short-term jobs, he went on to work over twenty years as Route Supervisor for Kenmore Cleaners and another ten years at Giant Food before retiring. D.J. was an avid golfer and played all the local courses over the years with his favorite being Shannon Green. He made many good friends playing the sport he loved and several have predeceased him. D.J. said recently he already had enough friends for a foursome to play a round of golf when he got to heaven. He also enjoyed spending time with family, watching good movies and playing card games with family and friends.
D.J. is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Myers Anglin, his son Delton Jasper Anglin, III (Desiree), his son Jason Robert Anglin, his brother Newton (Bud) Jasper Anglin (Geraldine), his sister Mary Jean Steele (Micah), his brother Francis (Frank) Neal Anglin (Penny), six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
D.J. loved greatly and was greatly loved. He will be deeply missed until we meet again.
A casual celebration of life will be held from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in D.J.’s memory to the American Legion, or to the charity of your choosing.
