Deloris Ellison Finnie's Obituary
Deloris Ellison Finnie, 65, of Prince George, VA passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center.
Delores enjoyed playing BINGO, bowling, fishing, spending time with her grandkids, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, of 44 years, John; two sons, Kerry Finnie of Prince George and Nathaniel Cox, Sr. (Tia) of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Terrace Serena Carter of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren, Travis Finnie, Anthony Finnie, Marcus Finnie, Terrace Renee Finnie, Joshua Pettiford and Nathaniel Cox, Jr.; her mother, Margaret Christopher; two brothers, Lindsey Washington and Paul Christopher; seven sisters, Jean Williams, Jerlean Christopher, Estelle Peterson, Juanita Christopher, Vera Craig, Vivian Brooks and Deborah Christopher; three brothers-in-law, James Finnie, Jerry Finnie and Tony Finnie; two sisters-in-law, Fannie Baker and Johnnie Mae Franklin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deloris will be loved and missed by many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Christopher, Sr.; a brother, Earl Christopher, Jr. and two sisters, Paulette Cox and Lenora Queen.
Deloris’ family will receive friends Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
