Delores Vivian Foley's Obituary
Delores Vivian “Bibby” Foley, a long-time resident of Stafford, Virginia, passed away at the age of 82 surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday the 8th of October at Stafford Hospital. She was born in Alexandria, VA on September 8, 1934.
Delores was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 50 years who enjoyed teaching others about the Bible and attending Bible study meetings regularly with her local congregation up to her passing. She happily spent countless hours volunteering in this Bible education work throughout her life. She lived a joyfully simple life and among her many interests were spending time with her family and friends along with taking and sharing photographs of loved ones as well as crocheting, quilting and spending time outside enjoying nature while gardening or caring for her land. She had a lot of love to share which included helping anyone who needed it and every animal that came her way. Her compassion, fortitude and wisdom will be missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Eugene “Buzzy” Foley as well as brothers, Charles Sisson Jr., Earl Sisson, and Jerry Sisson. She is survived by all of her children, Tommy Foley, Justin Foley, Kitty Huffman, Terry Foley, Kelly Foley, and Chris Foley; as well as her sisters, Alice Hopkins and Hazel Demory; and her brother, Leslie Deavers. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren with another on the way and 15 great-grandchildren as well as many friends who loved her.
A service will be held in honor of her memory at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 939 Ramoth Church Road, Fredericksburg VA, 22406 on October 15th at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. 900 Red Mills Road, Wallkill, NY 12589.
