Delores Elaine Elliott's Obituary
Delores Elaine Elliott, 86, of Culpeper, VA, passed away June 13, 2023. She was born May 11, 1937 in Laurel, MD to James and Jesse Scaggs.
She is predeceased by her parents and 4 siblings, her husband Franklin Elliott, her daughter Juanita Elliott Frazier, her daughter in law, Barbara Elliott, her grandsons: Jason Elliott and Michael Elliott, and her great granddaughter, Ashley Elliott.
Delores is survived by her sons: Stewart Elliott of Culpeper, VA and Dennis Elliott and wife Missy of Harper’s Ferry, WV and her daughter Carolyn Malpiede and husband Donny of Inwood, WV, as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many close friends who she called family.
Referred to affectionately as ‘Mamaw’ she will be forever remembered.
She had 9 grandchildren: Jason Elliott (d), Michael Elliott (d), Susan Elliott Gray (James), Patrick Elliott (Mindy), Daniel Elliott, Kelley Elliott (Daniel), Crystal Henson (Jeremy), Kurt Elliott, and Hannah McCune.
She also had 9 great grandchildren: Ashley Elliott (d), Tyler Elliott, Michael Elliott (Olivia), Dillon Elliott, Kayla Elliott, Matthew Elliott, Madison Guinn, Madolyn Kolasa, and James McCune.
Delores talked about how she loved to color and cut out paper dolls when she was little. She would also take care of stray dogs and cats. She liked canning and making jellies. She also enjoyed making sweet & sour pickles and pickle dip for her family. One of her favorite things to do was to listen to her albums and dance to the music.
Delores dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized on July 16, 1960.
She was a loving wife and mother, helping to raise her sons and daughters in the truth and teach them about Jehovah God.
Delores was humorous, and spent a lot of time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Frank, and hosting gatherings to make apple butter along with the friends in the congregations.
Delores was special to us and we hold her in our hearts until the day Jehovah fulfills his wonderful promise.
Funeral service to be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15103 Rixeyville Road, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Todd Reichert officiating.
