Deborah Ann Phillips' Obituary
Deborah Ann Phillips, 63, of Culpeper died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1953 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Bernard and Marian Barclay Sokol.
Deborah was a veteran of the United States Navy, and had a career in nursing and hospice care, but focused mainly on caring for her family. She had a kind and generous spirit, and was loved and cherished by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Phillips; two children, Brian Phillips and his wife, Melody of Morgantown, WV, and Laura Phillips of Culpeper; three siblings, Phillip “Phil” Sokol of NJ, Robert “Robbie” Sokol of FL, and Wayne Sokol and his wife, Noreen of NJ; and one grandchild, Audrey Deborah Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524. Procession to graveside will begin at 12:30 leaving from Found and Sons Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A memorial service will immediately follow at Culpeper Presbyterian Church, 215 S. Main St., Culpeper, VA with Rev. Wayne Bernardo officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
