Deborah Kay Dickinson Lamb's Obituary
Deborah Kay Dickinson Lamb, 53, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep at home Wednesday, October 12, 2011.
Debbie was born in Fredericksburg and lived with her grandparents in Colonial Beach. She graduated from Colonial Beach High School and married in 1976.
Debbie worked in Quantico as a secretary for the Department of Public Works and also for Spotsylvania County School bus system. She later became a stay at home mom.
Debbie is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 35 years, Walter Irvin Lamb, Sr. and their two sons, Walter Irvin Lamb, Jr. and his companion, Jenny and Joshua Nathanial Lamb and his wife, Aleah. Debbie was blessed with four grandchildren, Brenden, Trinity, Zeke and Fenton and six step-grandchildren, Ty, Dailie, Jenny, Courtney, Chance and Gage. Additional survivors include her father, Jack Dickinson and his wife, Gail; her dear grandmother, Louise Dickinson and two aunts, Carolyn Cooke and her husband, Donald and Joan Drummond of Colonial Beach. Debbie is the granddaughter of the late, Shelton Dickinson.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 8096 Leedstown Road, Oak Grove, VA 22443 with Ernest Combs officiating. Debbie’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Debbie’s remains will be cremated.
