Facebook - the day before your burial Lisa and I closed your account... we cried. I made my profile picture the one of me and you of my first Easter. Tonight I changed my profile picture to show off a new hair cut, and while I made our picture my cover photo, it’s just so hard. I don’t want to let go. I miss you. I wanted to send you the picture of my hair - I know you’d love it... I’m a grown up now. And still, your baby I’ll forever be. xoxox
In 1977 Don Francisco released the song “He’s Alive”. My mom loved Don Francisco and that song. She’d play the album over and over again. In 1989 Dolly Parton sang it on Live television at the CMA’s - I remember watching it, being enthralled by the power in which she sang and how the audience was engaged, as my mom bellowed the lyrics having her own church service in our living room. It was a huge deal for it to be on TV and sadly, not something we’re likely to experience again. However, I’m sure my mom is in heaven bellowing out today, He’s Alive!
Happy Heavenly Easter Mom. 🦋

Debbie and I met in middle school and she became my confidant and best bud. She was a tried and true friend as we grew close again in our adulthood after choosing to follow Jesus. We reconnected and our families grew up and grew close even though we lived many miles from one another. She and Bill shared in our families important milestones as we did theirs. Whenever life took a different turn we were there for one another. We loved one another and our hearts were connected even though we were both strong and opininated. Thank you my friend for all the years of love and support you have given me. I will always keep you close in my heart.
