Deacon Samuel Smith, Jr.'s Obituary
Deacon Samuel Smith, Jr., 73, of Culpeper died on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born on March 17, 1934 to the late Bessie Dorsey Smith and Robert Samuel Smith. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. He was also preceded in death by four sons, MacArthur Mack, Samuel Smith, Albert Mack, and Stephen Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Smith of Culpeper, his daughter, Ann Orange and her husband, Christopher, his son, Andrew R. Smith and his wife, Tanji L., his daughter-in-law, Paula Smith, all of Culpeper, and one loving sister, Lucy Smith of Lignum. Mr. Smith leaves to mourn eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Stephensburg.
Interment will follow in Ebeneezer Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Faye, Tony Jasper, Arthur Green, Jr., Gene Holmes, James Mack, and Deacon Tony Mack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nancy L. Smith, c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
