David Franklin Young's Obituary
David Franklin Young, 81, of Culpeper died Monday, July 23, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born October 13, 1930 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Reuben and Miriam Minsker Young.
Mr. Young graduated from Penn State and was a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea. He enjoyed skiing, hunting and singing harmony with the church choir, the Blue Ridge Barber Shoppers and the Down Home Barber Shop quartet.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ramona Bruno Young, three children, Susan Cole and her significant other, Spencer of Richmond, Diane Hill and her husband, Ricky of Petersburg, and Jeffrey Young and his wife, Gayle of Las Vegas, NV, two brothers, Harry Young of Micco, FL and Robert Young of Harrisburg, PA, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10 am at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524 and Culpeper American Legion Post 330.
