David Richard Smith's Obituary
David Richard Smith, 64, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born March 28, 1961, in Warrenton, VA.
He loved the simple pleasures in life like playing cornhole, bowling, spending time hunting and fishing, and rooting for the Washington Redskins. He especially enjoyed quiet evenings watching television, never missing an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger.
David is survived by his children; Connor Smith, Tiffany Bowers (Mark), Danny Hayzlett (Robyn) and Joshua Hayzlett (Aaris); grandchildren, Makenzie Bowers, Logan Bowers, Makayla Hayzlett, Madison Hayzlett, Kyleigh Hayzlett, Haley Hayzlett, Hannah Hayzlett and baby Hayzlett on the way; his mother, Juanita Smith; the mother of his children, Joanne Smith; sister Christy Hensley; niece, Melissa Hensley Adams, as well as a host of additional family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Lynn Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Amissville Baptist Church, 776 Viewtown Rd, Amissville, VA.
