David Roderick Mills' Obituary
David Roderick Mills, 87, of Stafford County, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
David retired from Quantico Marine Base as an auto body repairman. He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, especially to feed the birds. He also enjoyed his loving, caring time spent with his granddaughters and great-granddaughter. David loved them so much. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
David is survived by two sons, Michael Mills, and David “Randy” Mills and his wife, Kim; a sister, Shirley Weaver; two granddaughters, Bethany Mills and Brittany Mills; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Mills, his sisters, Zellawayne Singletery, and his brother, Jack Mills.
A memorial gathering honoring Mr. and Mrs. Mills will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A joint graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 in Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
