David Nathaniel Mack's Obituary
David Nathaniel “Uncle David” Mack, 69, of Culpeper, VA, departed from this earth on June 19, 2023. David was born to the late Harry and Nancy Long Mack on October 12, 1953.
He was educated in Culpeper County Public School System. He was one of the state champions of the Culpeper Men’s Basketball Team of 1973, under the leadership of John Averett. He was employed for many years with Culpeper County Public Schools, Culpeper Wal-Mart, and Euro Composites Corporation.
David was the kindest man and loved by all. He was the biggest Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed all sports that were played in Culpeper and the surrounding areas.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 22 years, Joanne Miles Mack; sister, Caroline Orange; brother, James Mack, Sr. (Paula); two daughters, Rolanda Glosson and Tamara Washington; step-children, Lisa Miles Harris, Jason Washington, Aaron Scott, Bryan Scott, Marcus Dean, Repelus Rose, and Mark Richardson; grandchildren, Anfernee, Kurante, Naveah, Jainsa, LaNyjan, Ragen, Chance, Carrington, Curtis, Mallory, Brandon, Jasmine, LaTeisha, Eric, James, Xavier, Christian, Releigh, Jordyn, Jayden, Shania, Sakira, Jaciere, Aleysha, Jonasia, Meliah, Aniya, Tasia, Mallory, Sevin, Saige, Skylar, Aiden, A’Tia, Nora, and Dartanua.
Additional survivors include numerous great grandchildren; his special friends, Gary Deal, Chip Utz, Harry Clarke, Arthur Brock, Ronald White, Damion White, Russell Lewis, Richard Williams, Dallas Jackson, and Steve Rogers; and many nieces, nephew and other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Newman, Esther Dinkens, Rebecca Brown, Helen Orange, Evelyn Dinkens, Nancy Smith, Walter Mack, and Harry Mack; and one son, James “Todd” Miles.
Special thanks to Andrew “Andy” Smith (nephew) for taking special care of David with his companionship and transporting him to the doctor appointments and anything he needed. Andy was David’s son/nephew.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Mack officiating.
