David Wayne Butler's Obituary
David Wayne Butler, 60, of Culpeper, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 25, 2022. He was born November 26, 1961 in Culpeper to the late James and Bessie Butler.
David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Melinda; two daughters, Candy Monteleone and her husband Nick, Ashley Butler and her fiancé Normand; and one grandson, Nickolas Monteleone.
David owned and operated David’s Tree Service for over 42 years. He found a great sense of pride in his accomplishments within this company he operated with Melinda. His knowledge and experience as an arborist allowed him to thrive in a career he truly loved. He could tell you anything you needed to know about trees and had a keen eye for landscaping layouts. David was a man of integrity and his longtime clients knew the exceptional quality of work they could expect from him.
David was an avid hunter in his earlier years, having many prized deer on the wall. He also enjoyed fishing with secret lures and had a strong love for Ford Trucks. For those who knew David well, you knew you’d see him with his favorite beverage, 7-11 coffee, always in his hand. He would never turn down a good cup of black coffee, no matter what time of the day it was. David was a problem solver who thoroughly enjoyed taking on difficult tasks and projects, even if it meant working on a Chevy truck. One of David’s hobbies was collecting every tool imaginable and didn’t mind admitting he had an obsession. As a PaPa, he enjoyed teaching Nickolas how to operate equipment along with the qualities of being a great arborist.
