Darryl Travis Courtney Jr.'s Obituary
Darryl "Travis" Courtney, Jr., 48, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday March 6, 2024 at his home.
Travis was born to Joy and Darryl Courtney Sr. on March 11, 1975. He grew up in Hartwood and graduated from Stafford Senior High School. Travis worked as a Heavy Equipment Repair Technician for the Virginia Department of Transportation for 25 years. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 25 years, Meg Courtney; his son, Griffin Courtney; his daughter, MaryGrace Courtney; his parents, Darryl and Joy Courtney, of Hartwood; his brother, Axyl Courtney, and his wife, Jessica; his nephew, Waylon; his niece, Penelope; and other loving extended family.
A celebration of Travis' life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Dementia Society at dementiasociety.org/donate or the Ronald McDonald House at rmhc.com/donate.
