My Nephew's Gift
My nephew arranged his own funeral.
He picked his closest life long friends to be part of his going home service.
They were his speakers. his pallbearers and his friends.
Some of these young men came from out of state to make sure Darian's final arrangements were complete.
These young men call each other bothers and each one of these young men's families call these young men their sons.
These young men profess Jesus Christ as Savior.
You could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as they spoke. As the Holy Spirit moved, some were moved in accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Per the words of the Funeral Director and the Minister, one could tell their hearts were also impacted by these young men.
As the day continued, after the burial, these young men made a point to get to know other members of Darian's family. Introducing themselves, sharing their stories, their life and truly caring to know about the life of Darian's family members.
By the end of this day , I was adopted into their families as Auntie Patty.
My nephew gave me 10 new Christian nephews.
My beautiful nephew, Darian, touched so many in his life and in his death. So thankful I was a part of it all and looking forward to being reunited with him again in heaven.
God truly blessed my heart with my nephew and all my newly adopted nephews. May God keep them and grow them in His word. ❤️
They will forever be in my prayers and my heart.
Iam beyond BLESSED to be a part of Darians VILLAGE!!!! Darian and my SON David became BEST friends first over 20 years ago and quickly he became part of our family. He will forever be my SUN from another Mother!!! I miss him rushing into my home loud as heck (LOL) yelling “Momma, where you at”, “You make some that Puerto Rican food”. He could be heard before he could be seen and I loved that about him. His smile lite up every room he entered. He is our FAMILY and will always be OUR Darian! DARIAN!!! You are FREE baby boy!!!🥲🥲🥲 FLY HIGH!! Till we meet again. XOXO! 😘 Tis is not the end….THIS is your NEW beginning.
Love you forever and always cousin❤️

Here are just a few memories/photos I can share of Darian playing sports. I'll never forget when he made 3 outs in one play during a tee-ball game. His talent was amazing to watch. Our family will never be the same without his smiling face! Forever in my heart, soul and mind. Love you always, ,Darian. .....Mom.
