Darawin Olee Gatling's Obituary
Darawin “Gat” Gatling, 32, of Fredericksburg died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital after a very short illness.
Darawin loved sports, football in particular and the great outdoors. He worked for many years in his trade field as an Electrician Helper. Darawin was a loving son, brother, grandchild and nephew. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his big heart, bright smile and soft spoken spirit.
Darawin was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elaine Gatling.
He is survived by his son, Nicholas Gatling; father, Otis Gatling, Jr.; sister, Lakenna Gregory. Additional family members are his grandmother, Elizabeth Gatling; aunts, Mary Donovan, Jerusha Gatling, Debbie Foxx, Diane Jackson, Lisa Fortune, Mary Lou Williams, Shirley Hill, Paula Brown and Sheila Wallace; uncles, Randolph Gatling, Roosevelt Gatling, Timothy Gatling, Jeffrey Gatling, Charles Frye, Milton Frye Jr., Donald Williams, John Frye Sr., McKinley Frye and Arthur Frye; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Darawin’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery.
