Daniel Hudson's Obituary
Daniel W. Hudson, 65, of Ruther Glen passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, following a long illness.
He was a longtime member of Goshen Baptist Church. Daniel was also a member of the American Legion in Spotsylvania and a previous member of Rough Riders Riding Club. He rode on the professional rodeo circuit for approximately 10 years.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Linda Hudson; his children, Brenda Shepherd of Fredericksburg, Kimberly Fitzgerald and her husband, Thomas of Spotsylvania County, Jacquline Hill and her husband, Jody of Port Orange, FL, Matthew Watson and Laurie Hornburger, Debra L. Miller and her husband, Rodney, all of Spotsylvania, Lisa Hudson of Stafford County and Matthew Hudson of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren and two brothers, Ollie Hudson and his wife, Connie of Bealton, KY and Richard Hudson and his wife, Donna of Charlottesville.
Daniel’s family will receive friends Monday, October 26, 2009 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Goshen Baptist Church. A funeral service celebrating Daniel’s life will begin at 12:00 pm at the church with the Rev. William Dodson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Daniel’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forrest Avenue # 100, Richmond, VA 23226.
