Burke and I met Damon many years ago at Payne Trucking. He would come into the safety office and talk about what was going on in his life, good and bad. We would tell him to have a seat on the couch so his session could begin. He was a good person and very likeable. He will be missed.
Jimmy and I will always have great memories of you Damon! We know you put up a hell of a fight! Cancer sucks! R.I.P Damon and watch over us all until we meet again one day!
We met at Payne many years ago, and our paths crossed numerous times over the years. Your wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by more of us than you can imagine.
I wish I had gotten the chance to meet Damon and his family. I’ve only talked to them through comments on Facebook. Maybe it’s a Whetzler thing but we shared the same sense of humor! I sure have missed his posts.

I met Manhole in the early 1990s never a dull minute . After AMR we worked together at HT I crack up everytime I think of you call us in SC you always had the Basset Hound Scooter talk to us woooo wooo wwoff then management would call SHUT THAT DOG UP We have so many memories , Thank you for that . Damon and I worked together at Payne Trucking and like so many others we became friends. He was a funny guy. Would always call me Shurry Ann even though that wasn't my real name, but that's was ok. That's just who he was. A funny kind of guy. You will be missed by so many. Prayers to the family.
