Daisy Wayland's Obituary
Daisy Gordon Wayland, 78 of Orange died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at her residence. She was born on June 2, 1930 in Syria, VA to the late James and Lelia Weakley Gordon.
Daisy was a loving, Christian lady with a heart of gold and a lifetime member of North Pamunkey Baptist Church. In remembering Daisy, her sweet smile comes to mind. Her love of family and friends sustained her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma and friend. Her life touched many children. She was a special babysitter who touched each and every child in her care. Countless families have been blessed by having had “Miss Daisy” love their children. She had a green thumb and loved her flower gardens. We know the beauty of heaven has greeted her and she looked forward to reuniting with her loved ones. We remember her with happy memories and most of all, an abundance of love.
She is survived by her children, Wayne Daniel Wayland “Danny” and his wife, Mendy, Donna Wayland Dyer and her husband, Jimmy, her daughter-in-law, Joan M. Wayland and her siblings, Eugene Gordon of Syria, VA, Arlene G. Tanner of Stuarts Draft and Polly G. Aylor of Etlan, VA.
