C. Wayne Myers' Obituary
C. Wayne Myers, 59, of Lignum, died on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his residence after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on February 1, 1950 in Fauquier, VA to Shirley Myers Philips of Culpeper and the late Clodius “Mac” Myers.
Wayne retired from VDOT as a mechanic. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing and was a member of the Culpeper Moose Lodge and Milam Ridge Hunt Club. Wayne was a loving husband, devoted father and cherished grandfather who will truly be missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Gloria, his two sons, Eddie Wayne Myers and his wife, Kim, and Greg Myers and his wife Helen, his daughter, Tammy Clifford and her husband, Barry, his step-daughter, Patricia Singleton and her husband, Danny, his step-son, James Jarrell, Jr., and his stepfather, Arnold Philips of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include, 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Brittany, Christy, Cathy, Courtney, Eddie, Kaitlin, Dalton, Meagan, and Kristina, his siblings, Denise Haraseviat and her husband, Mike, Cindy Norris and her husband, George, Faye Deal and her husband, Richard, Renee Demmer and her husband, Bryan, Joyce Hinkle and her husband, Doug, and John Myers and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his trusty beagle friend and companion, Kameron.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Stan Mulford officiating.
Interment will follow in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sam Wigginton, Rickie Myers, Doug Myers, Harold Jones, Bernard Settle, Richard Dwyer, Kevin Myers, and Kyle Myers.
