Curtis Lee Smoot's Obituary
Curtis Lee Smoot, 65, of Culpeper died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1948 in Culpeper to Ethel Smoot Hawkins and the late C.H. Smoot.
Mr. Smoot owned and operated Alpine General Contractors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Virginia Smoot; one daughter, Kimberly Mozingo and her husband, Mike of Culpeper; one grandson, Chad Mozingo; his siblings, Charles Smoot, Sr. and his wife, Pat, Ronnie Smoot and his wife, Tammy, Arthur Smoot, Todd Smoot and his wife, Theresa, Garrison Hawkins and his wife, Ginger, Barbara Jenkins and her husband, Douglas, Jane Jarrell and her husband, Mark, Betty Lou Gentry and her husband, Michael, Brenda Smoot and Steve Boxley and Fonda Keyser and her husband, Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, Mr. Smoot was preceded in death by one daughter, Tori Leigh Smoot; and one brother, Douglas Smoot.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Dawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Rapidan, PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701 &/or Little Fork Rescue Squad, 6011 Rixeyville Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737.
