Corine “Pete” Virginia Scott
Corine “Pete” Virginia Scott, 72, of Culpeper died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Fauquier Hospital. She was born November 29, 1935 in Rappahannock County to the late Willie Oscar Butler and Mattie Elizabeth Whorton Butler.
Pete was an avid movie buff who loved listening to music, dancing and playing cards especially Rummy. She cherished the time spent with her family and doting on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sally Hodge and her boyfriend, David Carroll of Bristow, VA, Kyle Scott and his wife, Rachelle of Culpeper, Connie Scott of Lynchburg, Debra O’Connor and her husband, Michael of Boston, and Patricia “Tish” Weakley of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Mildred Jenkins and Jane Jenkins both of Culpeper, ten grandchildren, Kristin Hodge, Cameron, Adrian and Brandon Scott, Stacey and Blake Scott, Cynthia Beamer, Megan Burrows, Kaitlin “Katie” O’Connor and Tristan Weakley, and one great grandchild, Keira Harrison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Gilbert Scott and three siblings, Lauranna Compton, Dorothy Dowdy and Hollis “Butch” Butler.
