Constance "Connie" Callahan's Obituary
Constance “Connie” Callahan, passed away on October 17, 2019 in King George, Virginia. Connie loved her family. She had only encouraging words to speak to any who came to her for advice or a listening ear.
When her husband retired, Connie moved to West Virginia for a time, where she and two friends began a musical trio “The Sounds of Praise”. This trio traveled throughout West Virginia and Maryland, ministering to churches and elder care facilities. For a short while, Connie and her husband Mike hosted a half hour Sunday morning musical worship on a local radio station. Connie also helped other local music ministries record their music. Connie recorded several praise albums during the reign of the cassette tape.
It was Connie and her husband Mike (deceased) who first shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their family. Mike spoke the words of Joshua over his family “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” During his lifetime, Mike was able to realize his promise to the Lord. The entire pew was filled with family whom both Mike and Connie had a hand in leading to Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Connie is survived by her three children; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
