Connie Burruss' Obituary
Connie Mae Burrruss died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She worked at Walmart in Central Park for over 10 years as an associate and moved up to a department manager.
Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Ferris.
Connie is survived by her husband of 29 years, John Curly T. Burruss; two sons, John J.T. Burruss, II and his wife, Christina and Chris Cleatus Burruss; three grandchildren, Cody, Jessica and John, III; her father, Eugene Frank Ferris, Jr. and his wife, Linda; two sisters, Bonita Bo Belt and her husband, Bill, and Bonnie Leach and her husband, Teddy, one brother, Eugene Hootie Ferris and his wife, Pattie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A funeral service will be held Thursday June 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Amos W. Healy officiating. Interment will follow in Wilderness Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family requests casual attire, and that donations be made to Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire and Rescue at P.O. Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton 113 Tall Pines Avenue Locust Grove, VA 22508.
