My sympathies the to whole Yates family in your loss.
Raven, I remember very well when your mom passed (when we worked together at the bank) and what an impact that made on your family. Losing your dad is a different kind of loss. I truly understand how you feel, just going through it myself. We are always our dad's little girl. And in your dad's case, he was lucky to have three little girls! Your dad was a wonderful man. He and my dad worked together in the post office for many years. My parents and I would see your dad out dining after church on Sundays and we would always chat a little. He was always so happy and friendly and had a wonderful life. Such great accomplishments to be proud of. And you always saw him coming in that little yellow car. The entire Culpeper community will miss him. Hugs to you my friend.

I will always remember C.F. and Frankie coming to see us and he was always so much fun to be around. The four children then would go out with my sister Elaine and I to play on this huge rock in the woods. What fun that was. RIP, C. F. Tell Frankie "Hi" for us.

I'm so sorry for your loss. JoGale,I looked forward to Wednesdays when you would bring your dad to Atheneans. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Yates family. Mr. Yates was a wonderful gentleman. God Bless each of you. William & Jean Tutwiler

Raven & David, Wendy, Jo Gale & Steve, Greg & Liz - we have years of memories of C.F. in our community as a fine Southern gentleman.....a kind word or friendly hello as our paths would cross. We know you'll miss your daddy and we offer our sympathy to your extended families. Dawn Miller & Wayne Grimsley Culpeper, VA.
Betty and I wish to extend our condolences. C.F. was a unique individual, always seeing the best in everyone even those with whom he disagreed. New Salem Baptist Church benefited greatly from his generosity, especially in his paying off the mortgage of the Fellowship Hall. Betty and I enjoyed our outings with C.F. and Gertrude and I am sure we kept the waitresses guessing whether we were serious or joking. What fun we had. Knowing C.F. and what he stood for surely enhanced our lives. God Bless.
