Columbia Jean Parton's Obituary
Columbia Jean Parton, 82, of Culpeper died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1933 in Kermit, WV to the late Charles and Lola Bowen Marcum.
She is survived by two children, Dwayne Parton and his wife, Carrie of Manassas and Deborah Shaffer of Richmond; four siblings, Ida Bell Lyles, Stella Ward, Essie Woodyard and Enoch Marcum and his wife Patricia; and very close friend and companion for more than 40 years, George Golden.
Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren, Tyler, Aaron and his wife, LeighAnn, Brandon and Harrison Parton, Robert Turner, Erica Mitchell and her husband, Bobby, Shelby and Jordan Castaneda, Tasha, Daniel and Tina Parton; ten great grandchildren, Michael Mueller, Cameron Mitchell, Grayson Mitchell, Bentley Castaneda, Ashley Parton, Breanna Roberts, Daniel A. Parton, Victoria, Samantha and Rebekah Daniels; and one great great grandchild, Avery Scott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Donald Lesley Parton; and four siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11 am Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ralph Muncy officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
